ACCOUNTABILITIES
Implement Health Promotion/IEC (Information, Education, Communication) activities with patients and local population to raise their knowledge and skills on relevant medical topics.
• Inform patients and communities about MSF and services it provides.
• According to medical priorities, deliver information to the patients and community on specific health topics
• Implement activities of health education and awareness (sessions in schools, churches, community), under the indications and supervision of the HP Supervisor.
• Under the guide of HP Supervisor, assess the impact of activities (with questions, verifications and behaviors observations), and report problems, success and constraints to him/her.
• Collect all type of information related to specific health and living conditions of the population, in particular to identify the most vulnerable populations to target.
• Report to HP Supervisor: activities, problems met, strengths and constraints.
• For OCBA: Establish and maintain contacts with social partners, including other NGO’s, governmental health services that can provide answers to social problems.
• For OCBA: Keep education and communication areas clean and tidy and professional materials available.
• For OCBA:Participate in creation of any material needed for the activities of information, education and communi-cation.
Promotion of HCV test and treatment in the assigned areas
• Plan, prepare and implement HCV screening activity in Machar colony in a culturally and contextually acceptable way based on the medical strategy under supervision of HP supervisor
• Assess community perspectives and hindering factors, possible threat to the screening activity and report the information to the team and HP supervisor to ensure the objectively to be reached
• Mobilize the community on HCV testing, prevention, treatment through door-to-door visit, meeting, fliers, digital platform etc. in an effective way
• Ensure that all team members involved in mobile screening understand the objectives and help them to conduct their roles properly
• Monitor and mediate any issues in the team and report them to the supervisor
• Take diverse roles required in screening activity (e.g. pre/post-test education, administrative work, crowd controlling etc.)
Enhancing community engagement
• Conduct assessment (FGD, interview, surveys, direct observation etc.) constantly according to the project necessity with guidance of HP supervisor
• Identify community influencers with diverse characteristics (age, gender, ethnicity, language etc.)
• Maintain regular communication with diverse types of communication (meeting, whatsapp etc.)
Assuring successful treatment completion
• Connect the cases of lost-to-follow up to the treatment mainly by outreach visits based on their consents
• Record and monitor the return rate and share with partner organization and develop the way of working to increase
Others
• Plan, perform and report to the team in a guided way to evaluate achievement on a regular basis
• Report any rumour, misinformation, risk factors related to MSF and MSF activity promptly to the supervisor
