MSF-OCA is looking for a “Health Promoter Supervisor” based in CHAMAN– BALOCHISTAN

Basic Salary: 111 976 PKR

Summary of position: In close collaboration with the HP IEC Activities Manager, implementing and supervising educational campaigns according to MSF values, standards, and procedures in order to increase awareness of the targeted population and to promote the prevention and treatment of diseases in the project area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the definition and update of HP strategy and implement approved design: In close collaboration with the IECHP Manager/PMR participating in the definition and update of the HP/IEC strategy and identifying indicators in order to monitor HP activities, results, and achievements.
  • Lead the HP Team in planning and implementation of  HP activities according to strategy and objectives. Encourage and support the HP team to conduct HP sessions inside the facility and in the target community.Regular monitoring and evaluation of HP activities.
  • Participates in the creation of new IEC material, assess, develop and adapt them according to the needs of the project with the support of the IECHP Manager and in collaboration with the medical team. Ensure that the content and format have been pre-tested with target groups in order to ensure the adequacy, relevance, full understanding of the messages.
  • Develop new initiatives for HP activities according to objectives or needs.

Data/information collection and analysis: Plan and implement data/information collection in the Medical Facility and in the Community for medical or socio-cultural assessment, in collaboration with HP manager and medical department. Analyze the data in order to improve the implementation of strategy [in collaboration with the Medical department & HP manager].

Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly activity reports. Provide regular updates to the Medical Focal Point Assistant and MFP.

Supervision of HP staff/team management: Supervise HP activities in medical facilities and in the targeted community areas. Coach HP staff for better execution of their tasks. Identify training needs for the HP staff and facilitate training. Participate in HP staff evaluations. Define the responsibilities of HP workers & define roaster/leave planning.

Networking and interdepartmental collaboration: Liaise with external relevant actors including community leaders for a smooth implementation of the external HP program.

Training: Prepare, and facilitate training in collaboration with a medical team or relevant actors on specific topics according to the need.

Requirements for the position:

Education: Essential Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or education/pedagogy / or social work or related field

Desirable Masters in the same field

Experience: Essential at least 1-year working experience in health promotion activities, or training-education activities with MSF or other INGO or in a similar setting

Languages: Proficient in Linguistic skills in English and Urdu, and with other relevant local languages (Pashto)

Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (word, excel)
