Key Responsibilities

  • Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment.
  • Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations, daily rounds and other medical procedures.
  • Supervises all aspects of maternity/neonatal care from Lady Health Visitor staff. Implement ANC/PNC/ delivery protocols in the birthing unit. Perform normal deliveries independently, including episiotomy.
  • Responds to nursing/obstetric emergencies/complicated deliveries and seek advice from the doctor/ specialist in complicated or high-risk cases
  • Recognize, manage, and refer complications arising in the first, second or third stage of labor.
  • Supervising and training nurse-aids, LHVs, nursing care providers,  nutritional assistants, cleaners and other under his/her supervision, ensuring teamwork and adherence to all protocols and procedures
  • Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents, ensuring an appropriate written/oral handover, and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise.
  • Participating in data collection and keeping doctors/supervisors informed
  • Update the Project Medical Referent on daily basis the situation of referred patients in each hospital

Education    

  • Registered Nurse /Registered Midwifes (RNRMs) or BSN 4 years degree with valid Pakistan Nursing Council Registration.

Experience 

  • Desirable 2 years of previous experience and previous experience in other NGO’
  •  Demonstrable experience in supervising and training others in a team setting

Languages  

  •  Urdu and Local language (Pashto) is essential. English is desirable
