Main Purpose
The Medical Technician will play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services at a Primary Health Care (PHC) facility in Tirah/Surkas, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective medical care. Under the supervision of the MFP or Medical Doctor, the Medical Technician will be responsible for performing various clinical and technical tasks, assisting with medical procedures, and contributing to the overall success of the healthcare program.
Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
2. Emergency Response: Assist in emergency medical interventions and participate in mass casualty management when necessary.
3. Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with medical ethics.
4. Medical Procedures: Assist in various medical procedures, such as wound dressing, injections, and minor surgical interventions.
5. Laboratory Testing: Perform basic laboratory tests and handle laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols.
6. Medication Management: Ensure proper management of medications, including inventory control, storage, and dispensing.
7. Infection Control: Adhere to infection control and sterilization protocols to maintain a safe and clean healthcare environment.
8. Health Education: Participate in health education and awareness activities for patients and the community to promote preventive healthcare practices.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other healthcare staff, including nurses, doctors, and support personnel, to deliver comprehensive care.
