General Objectives

Execute, according to hygienic standards, housekeeping, cleaning, and tidying up activities to ensure public and staff private areas are in good and safe condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, and other rooms in MSF houses (office and guest house).
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and dignified living and working environment.
• Use cleaning materials safely and according to guidelines.
• Laundry and ironing of household linen, hanging bedsheets and towels every week or as required.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop the floors.
• Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as required.
• Monitor and restock hygiene supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as needed.
• Monitor water availability and inform the supervisor in case of shortage or disruption.
• Ensure doors and windows are properly closed after cleaning activities.
• Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of cleaning equipment (mops, microfibers, etc.).
• Wash windows.
• Sweep and clean balconies and terraces.
• Ensure regular emptying of waste bins in office and living areas.
• Ensure cleanliness of desks, shelves, doors, and frequently touched surfaces (handles, etc.).
• Clean the fridge, gas cooker, sinks, microwave, and oven.

Context/Specific Accountabilities:

• Inform the supervisor in case of blockage, leakage, or drainage issues.
• Empty, clean, and disinfect waste buckets as needed.
• Ensure disinfection of toilets, showers, washing areas, and floors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of washroom facilities.
• Clean the drivers’ resting room on a daily basis.
